SKILL FOR LIFE
At the beginning of 2017, I, as a skill for life students, started a project that I never do before, that's "Self-directed Learning project". This project require no one else instead of yourself, you need to be your own teacher and teach yourself the knowledge you want to know. The process of this project is as followed: Choose a topic, then do some brainstorm about it, write down a mind map will be a good idea, After select the topic, go online and find some reliable source to read and to learn the new knowledge, as I read more and learn more, I have to write down the questions I know I don't know and I don't know I don't know on learning records, those are papers I used during self study. In the middle of the project, I wrote a product and a mind map that I can use to compare with what I know before and after.After the learning process finished, I wrote another mind map and product, those conclude most of the thing I learned during this project. In this project, my learning goal is to write an argumentative essay, the reason I chose this topic is because my writing skill is not enough to write and read university level paper, and I'm already grade 11, only one and half year until I get into an university, so I thought I need to improve my writing skill. Here are all the products, mind maps, learning records, etc. I did in this project. First, I want to show my learning records, these records recorded most of the thing I learned during this project, which is very important because it shows the knowledge I learned in the straightest ways. This is the argumentative essay I did before I start the project, which showed my skill level at that time. This is the first mind maps which i did in the beginning of this project, which also showed my skill level, and also what I know about argumentative essay. Second mind map, I did this in half way of this project, this is use to track the things I learned in first half project. This is a body paragraph I did at the same time I did second mind map, just a little try on how much did I develop my writing skill. At last, my FINAL PRODUCT. To show how much I develop my writing skill, I wrote an argumentative essay, even though it is about global warming, but the main goal is to show how much I learned in this project, to show it, I use most of the skill and technique I learned.
